The Mac/Val, or the Musée d’Art Contemporain du Val-de-Marne, opened in 2005 and is the first museum to dedicate itself to entirely to the contemporary French art scene. It features over a thousand works of art from the 1950s to the present day. The Mac/Val also hoasts a cinema, bookshop, workshops and a resource center.
