Presenting many aspects of her practice, this event brings together a select group of international guests, all of whom are inextricably linked to Genzken’s life and career. The core team of the German Pavilion includes: Nicolaus Schafhausen, director of Witte de With as curator; Sophie von Olfers, assistant curator at Witte de With as project coordinator; Paul van Gennip, deputy director at Witte de With as head of technical realisation, together with Berlin-based architect Roger Bundschuh. Sven Bergmann, head of press at K20K21, Kunstsammlung Nord Rein Westfahlen, Düsseldorf, is responsible for press and Markus Weisbeck, Surface Gesellschaeft fur Gestaltung, Frankfurt, for the graphic design.
The German Pavilion at the 52nd International Art Exhibition La Biennale die Venezia 2007 is commissioned and sponsored by the Foreign Office of the Federal Republic of Germany, and co-organised by Germany’s Institute for Foreign Cultural Relations.
