TALK with Megan Boyle: LIVEBLOG

Witte de With Center for Contemporary Art and Peach present a TALK by Baltimore based writer and filmmaker Megan Boyle. Boyle will read a new text written on the occasion of this TALK, in conjunction to LIVEBLOG, an exhibition opening the day before at Peach in Rotterdam. The reading will be followed by a short participatory video piece.

LIVEBLOG

In 2013, Megan Boyle was unhappy with the life she was living and wanted to document it on the internet for an audience. Her hope was that if she documented each thought and action on the internet, then she would begin to behave in a manner more appropriate to the life she wanted to live. LIVEBLOG was made on Tumblr and eventually published in 2018 as a book.

The 25 hour film LIVEBLOG is a recording by filmmaker Nick Toti of the 48 hour LIVEBLOG reading that took place in 2018. Nick will also be present for the talk and Q&A. After the TALK, the publication LIVEBLOG is available for sale in the bookshop of MELLY.

This event is presented in the context of the first European solo exhibition of Megan Boyle LIVEBLOG, on show at PEACH from November 15th till December 15th 2019.
