Contemporary artistic practice and cultural production are subject to the influence of a number of processes of change within our culture, such as globalization, commercialization and technologization. The concepts utilized in discussing contemporary artistic practices are often unclear, and raise countless questions. Clarification is sorely needed in this radically shifting area. The theme will be discussed by renowned philosophers and by leading representatives of the various artistic practices.
