Andrea Éva Győri (1985, Hungary) studied Fine Arts, at Hungarian University of Fine Arts in Budapest and Video/Performance/Sculpture/Installation at Staatliche Akademie der Bildenden Künste, Stuttgart in the Class of Christian Jankowski, Mike Bouchet, and Felix Ensslin. In 2012 Győri was awarded the DAADPrize for Outstanding Achievements, and furthermore received a scholarship from the Baden-Württemberg Foundation in 2014. In 2017-2018, Győri was artist in residence at Jan Van Eyck Multiform Institute for Fine Art and Reflection, Maastricht, The Netherlands. Previous residencies include the SeMA NaNJI Residency Program for Art - Seoul Museum of Art, Seoul Korea (2015). In 2019 Győri will be artist in residence at Künstlerhaus Schloss Balmoral, Bad Ems, Germany.
