Annick Kleizen (NL) was Associate Curator at Witte de With from April to November 2013. She holds a M.A. in Language and Culture Studies from Utrecht University, where she combined art history, literature and philosophy with a focus on (contemporary) performance. Prior to joining the team at Witte de With, she worked as an independent researcher and as curator for Museum De Paviljoens in new town Almere, where she worked on both solo and group exhibitions and on projects and events both within the museum and in public space. There, together with director Macha Roesink, she explored the potential and implications of collecting, both as commitment to the artists and their practices and as the active construction of a memory. As a writer she contributed to several publications and artist’s books.
