Josie Perry (1996, UK) works mainly between drawing, sculpture and performance, and recently with a mode of storytelling in which absurd narration is layered with the handling of suggestive props or stubborn objects. She has a background in vocal performance, and is interested in materialities of spoken language and alienated voicing.
Recent and upcoming exhibitions and performances include at Stichting Perdu, Amsterdam (NL), Centre Cívic Can Felipa, Barcelona (ES), DE PLAYER, Rotterdam (NL), and Twenty One, venue of Focal Point Gallery, Southend-on-Sea (UK). Her MFA at the Piet Zwart Institute, Rotterdam is funded by the Leverhulme Trust.
