Max-Philip Aschenbrenner (b. 1981, Deggendorf) lives and works in Vienna. Aschenbrenner is a dramaturge who studied media studies, interaction and process design, and thereafter earned a master’s degree in dramaturgy. He took the position of the dramaturg for Hebbel Theater (HAU), Berlin in 2008, “Loan Shark” directed by Chris Kondek at Rotterdamse Schouwburg, and “King Lear” directed by Barbara Weber at Wiener Festwochen (Vienna Festival) and HAU. After working on his own internet and TV projects, Aschenbrenner joined the publicity department at the Opera Zurich and collaborated in the research project “Denken hilft” (Thinking helps) of the Zürcher Hochschule der Künste. He was a member of the artistic directors’ team at Theater Neumarkt and was an artistic collaborator at the festival “Theater der Welt 2010″. In 2011, he became an artistic director of SÜDPOL – Musik und Tanz Theater in Kriens, Switzerland.
