Melike Kara was born in 1985 in Bensberg, Germany, and currently lives and works in Cologne. She combines writing poetry with painting, and most recently has also begun experimenting with making sculpture and video. Kara studied at the Düsseldorf Art Academy from 2007 to 2014.
