Sharon Rotbard (Tel Aviv, Israel, 1959) is an architect, publisher, and theorist educated in Paris and practicing in Tel Aviv. He teaches architecture at Tel Aviv University and is editor of Architectures - the architectural and nonfiction series of Babel Publishers. His text on Homa Umigdal was published in A Civilian Occupation: The Politics of Israeli Architecture. Homa Umigdal (Wall and Tower) was a prototype that served as the basis for the construction of frontier settlements in Mandatory Palestine throughout the 1930s and 1940s.
