The Adrián Chair is designed by Muebles Manuel, an extension of Manuel Raeder’s graphic-design studio and publishing house BOM DIA BOA TARDE BOA NOITE. Muebles Manuel’s furniture explores the connections and boundaries between exhibitions, books, archives, and typography.
Designed by Raeder, the Adrián Chair consists of handmade woven-cane seat placed over an industrially-made monobloc plastic chair. To craft these, Raeder collaborates with the artisan Adrián López in Oaxaca, Mexico.
A set of Adrian Chairs, along with tables, book shelves, and other design elements furnish Untitled, the long-term and slowly changing exhibition in the re-imagined ground-floor gallery space of Witte de With. Witte de With has now teamed with Muebles Manuel to offer for sale original editions of Adrian Chairs. Proceeds from the sales are invested in education and public programs held in Untitled at Witte de With.
Sales orders are available now and until supplies last; delivery is expected in October 2018.
