Biography Michel Lasserre
Michel Lasserre (Auch, France, 1947) studied architecture in Paris. Michel Lasserre and Paola Yacoub have been associates since 1996. They work on the expressiveness of territories and their aesthetic and political implications. They took part in the Ayloul Festival 2001, in Beirut, where they showed their installation work Al Manazer, in the collective exhibition Stand der Dinge (Teil 1), Kunst-Werke, Berlin, 2000, and in the 7th Venice Architecture Biennial, 2000, where they presented their installation work Garden of Eden, Monument for Beirut. They exhibited Monuments of an Unfinished War at the Galerie Claude Samuel, Paris, 2000, and they were residents at the Akademie Schloss Solitude in Stuttgart from November 2001 to March 2002, where they prepared an exhibition called The Next Village in February 2002, which was also shown in Paris at the Galerie Claude Samuel in February.
